Becoming The Best Version of Yourself

“Look inside yourself. There is the source of goodness; and it is ready to bubble at any time, as long as you only dig.” – Marcus Aurelius (c. 121 AD – c. 180 AD)

Stoicism and Personal Growth: A Path to Self-Improvement

No matter if it’s the struggle for a successful career, the battle against an illness, or a competition, to achieve our goals, we need to bring our best and strongest selves to the table. We live a happy life when we tap into our maximum potential, eliminating our fears and doubts and  learn to manage stress, suffering and pain.

Even Stoics from ancient Greece sought to awaken our inherent potential to lead an unconditionally happy and smooth life. Jonas Salzgeber, in his book “The Little Book of Stoicism,” describes that Stoics believed that nature planted a seed in every person, allowing us to let the best version of ourselves sprout through our natural potential. Stoic teachings emphasize achieving this through persistent training and virtuous living. A “virtuous life” they cazegorize in four cardinal virtues: wisdom, justice, courage, and self-discipline. The focus is solely on what can be controlled. External factors, such as the weather, our age, the opinions of others, etc., are beyond our control and are therefore not taken into account.

A notable feature of Stoicism is that it is labeled as “warrior philosophy” as it requires challenging exercises, patience, and perseverance. Mind-Craft builds on this philosophy, providing a platform for training outside the comfort zone. According to the Mind-Craft philosophy, these intense training sessions not only enhance toughness, mental endurance and strength. Also we contribute to personal development in multiple ways and awaken our true potential. For more information, see Breaking out of the comfort zone. In addition to breaking out of the comfort zone, other stoic practical exercises are, for example:
– Negative visualization
– Daily journaling
– Evening reflection
– Voluntary renunciation / deprivation
– Self-observation / self-talk
– Distinction between judgment and fact

How do I Awaken my Potential? Control the Emotions!

The power within us is very powerful. Unfortunately, most people often take the easy path and never awaken this power. Throughout our lives, we are often told what we are capable of and what we are not. We are constantly categorized and judged by others, without even knowing what our best version feels like and what we can achieve. Because this is on the other side of our limits floating in our heads. While you have been taught to avoid pain, challenges, hurdles, and mistakes, Mind-Craft teaches you to accept them, control them, and get the most out of them. It is about us controlling our emotions and not letting the emotions controlling us.

Be different and don’t let others limit yourself , instead work on the best version of yourself, and unleash your potential! Don’t waste any more time, don’t wait for tomorrow, and sign up for your grinds.
